Equal parts makeup studio, photography studio, progressive hair studio, makeover center, learning center and relaxing beauty oasis, DEX New York offers prestige cosmetics retail & beauty services, photography production, and makeup workshops, all in an authentic backstage beauty environment. As an image laboratory our mission is to create, interpret and perfect the new looks that work both sides of the fashion runway --from the catwalk to the sidewalk.

Located in New York’s fashion district, DEX New York also serves as the retail hub for DEX Modern Minerals – our edgy, runway-inspired, yet totally natural new line of modern mineral makeup.

The 6,000 square foot DEX location features dramatic and flexible stark white space; which occupies our Beauty Atrium, Studios, Workshop Center and Retail Boutique.

DEX New York was created by Dexter Phillip, a visionary entrepreneur, fashion stylist and image consultant. His passion for the transformative arts of beauty and fashion led him to develop this Big Town beauty studio experience and the launch of his fashion forward professional mineral cosmetics line.

In 2006, he was conceiving a Green Spa Oasis on the Upper East Side of Manhattan – a place where women & men could luxuriate in an eco-friendly, yet glamorous world. In the midst of creating this urban Eden, however, an opportunity presented itself - an opportunity too good to pass up, and entirely fitting with not only his original vision but also his background as a fashion stylist, image consultant, and lifestyle columnist – mineral makeup.

In March 2007, DEX New York was born. A perfect combination of the one-of-a-kind ecologically friendly and luxury experience that Dexter originally envisioned, married with the color, fashion and edge of his years in the world of fashion.

Today, DEX New York combines its Modern Minerals with expert beauty styling and photography services in the heart of the New York's fashion district.

At DEX New York we are dedicated to bringing new and creative ideas to the beauty market place, both in our product offerings as well as our marketing initiatives. We will continue to develop our unique brand positioning, to grow and maintain solid brand recognition, and adhere to high quality customer service standards.
